Current Grant Funded Projects
Developing an alcohol intervention tailored for people who struggle with both alcohol and opioid use
Principal Investigator: Ryan Carpenter, PhD
The fifth leading cause of death in the U.S. is opioid overdose; alcohol often plays a pivotal role in these deaths. This study strives to develop and evaluate a short alcohol-focused intervention in conjunction with buprenorphine treatment. It will involve those who drink alcohol and have opioid use disorder.
